FAQ
Frequently asked questions – Certified Ukrainian and Russian Translation
Short, clear answers. Your question is not listed? We are happy to advise you personally.
Ask your questionHow much does a certified translation from Ukrainian or Russian cost?
The price depends on the length, type of document, delivery date and shipping. For standard documents such as birth or marriage certificates, we will give you a binding price once you have uploaded them. The quote is free of charge and with no obligation.
How long does the translation take?
That depends on the length and number of documents. We will give you a binding delivery date together with the quote. If you have a deadline with an authority, please call us directly: +49 208 990477.
Are the translations accepted by German authorities?
As a rule, yes. The translations are produced by sworn translators authorised by a German court, who confirm them with a certification statement, stamp and signature. Such translations are accepted by immigration offices, Jobcenters, registry offices and recognition bodies throughout Germany.
Do I have to hand in my original documents?
No. A clearly legible photo or scan of all pages is enough for the translation. You keep your originals – however, some authorities may want to see them when you submit the translation.
How will my name be spelled in the translation?
Ideally, as in your passport. Send us a copy of your passport and we will use that spelling. This way, your names match across all documents and there are no follow-up questions from the authorities.
Do you also translate from German into Ukrainian or Russian?
Yes. We provide certified translations of German certificates, diplomas and official notices into Ukrainian or Russian – for example for authorities in Ukraine.
Do I need an apostille?
Whether an apostille is required is decided by the office where you submit the document. If one is required, the competent authority of the issuing country affixes it to the original – ideally before the translation, so that we can translate it as well.
